SRTRA 2010 Summer Newsletter

This newsletter is sponsored by Jody Hoff and Billy Loewen

Welcome

Welcome to any new SRTRA members.  Our membership is down a little this winter, but we expect to get some more members at the summer ropings.

We have completed our winter ropings and have some summer ropings coming up.    That’s good news for the ropers that can’t make the winter ropings. Watch the website for updated roping news.

Numbers

The SRTRA directors have completed a review of all members’ numbers in April.  They only changed numbers if the majority of directors voted for the number change.  The new number list will be the numbers used at all SRTRA ropings.  The directors realize that some ropers could end up with a different number than they receive from another organization.  As SRTRA is no longer affiliated with any association, the directors’ intentions are to make all the SRTRA members competitive within SRTRA.  That will mean lowering or raising members’ numbers during the review process. I will notify the members as quickly as possible if there is a change.  Any questions or concerns can be directed to any SRTRA director or President Lennard Myers.

Also, if you would like your second number evaluated please make us aware of that.  Those requests can be dealt with at anytime.  It is standard procedure for any member numbered a 4 or less to receive the same number for both ends.  If you are numbered higher and we do not have a second number for you, we also give you the same number for both ends.  Your second number will remain the same as your first until you request a review of it.
